33.8% of Adults in the United States are obese and 17% of children and adolescents are obese. The main cause of this is from developing unhealthy habits. Creating healthy habits and keep up with them regularly will tremendously improve health. Healthy habits will help people feel better about themselves and will help them live a long, health life. Eating healthy, exercising, and getting good sleep regularly are healthy habits that people can develop to improve health. Making healthy eating choices is the first and most important key to staying healthy. Eating healthy is extremely important and has many benefits. However, doing too much too soon can have negative effects such as muscle strains, loss of lean tissue, and fitness-level plateaus. Exercises like cardio, weight lifting, and stretching are extremely important to do every week. Cardiovascular exercises such as walking, jogging, and bicycling are great to do. This should be done more than 200 minutes per week. Weight Lifting should be done no more than three times per week targeting the same muscle group. Muscles need time to recover.
