The academic achievement program and campus of the university can be considered diverse and it does promote inclusion throughout the campus. They both provide programs, services, and other forms of support to encourage their students to gain opportunities that will help them in the near future. The University of Maryland College Park provides its students with a diverse environment, curriculum, and organizations. The environment of the University’s undergraduate minority population is 34% of the total population of the campus. The 34% consist of the minority population consist of 12% of Black/ African Americans, 15% of Asians, and 8% of Latinos (Diversity Strategic Plan of University of Maryland, page 5).
