Diversity at the University of Maryland
The University of Maryland is very diverse. There are people from all over the world here to research, teach and be a part of our student body. By reading the different websites offered to me I learned a lot about the diversity policy at the University of Maryland. The many different ethnicities are just a part of what makes us a phenomenal university.
On the Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s web page, I learned that Maryland has an actual diversity plan. There motto is to have UMD resources that promote equity, diversity and inclusion. I also learned that the Office of Multi Ethnic Student Education is located in Hornbake Library. They provide programs and services such as tutoring, sister to sister
