This literary article depicts the state of stereotypes towards African-Americans and the issues it creates in our society at this time. The document depicts the struggles of racial relations that is caused by racial stereotypes of the African-Americans. The author also describes the racism he personally has encountered in our country. In my opinion the document details what African-Americans face due to the racial profiling in their everyday world. I believe this article showed that people do not feel safe when on a street at night and they see an African-American, but as stated in the article this can be justified in some of the areas mentioned in the document. The article shows that there are still many problems that need to be addressed between the races; however, people are starting to make some positive progress on the issue. I believe this issue has grown over the past decade due to racism and stereotypes. As shown in this document the issue of racial stereotypes still exists in the country.
