Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and regulate your emotions and also understand other’s emotional states (Lamberton & Minor, 2014). Improving human relations in business utilizing the ability to regulate your own emotions and understand other’s emotions can be done by being patient and knowing how to control these emotions. One may not have control over emotions, which can lead to heated arguments; placing blame and making others feel inadequate. When you recognize within yourself that you may be headed towards an argument or disagreement, you can channel that angst in another direction by bringing out good qualities and minimizing harmful attacks on others. This, in turn, will change the course of the other person’s actions
