Globalization has reshaped the whole world through advancing technology and other powerful infrastructures and has been accelerating changes in political, social, cultural and economical grounds. Although there are some overwhelming benefits from globalization, there are few concerns among Muslims regarding its impacts in the dimension of global culture. This is because globalization is hugely linked with the West. Muslims feel that various values, notions, way of living and ideals emerging from the West are penetrating into the Muslim society. As a result, they fear loss of identity, culture, morals and social status of Muslims. The group which is being deeply influenced by the West are the Muslim youths. However, due to western influences, Muslim youths are turning to such intoxicants whether it be smoking, alcohol or drugs. Moreover, gambling and lottery is becoming common in Muslim society. This is due to western marketing and advertising such activities as easy-quick money. Such activities too are being prohibited in the Qur’an. The Qur’an says, “O You who believe! Indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful." According to Islam, a Muslim should dress with modesty and in a respectful and dignified way. Whereas, western fashion and style of clothing does not necessarily prioritize decency. That is why people in the West wear revealing clothes which does not cover their body properly. This has been widely followed and has intruded into Muslim society. Muslim women are being affected largely as Islam strictly asks girls and women to cover their body properly. According to Abu Dawood [2] , the Messenger of Allah has girls to cover all parts of her body except the hands and face on reaching her menstrual age.
