Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another, whether it is vocally, written, visual or even nonverbally. For a business to run effectively there are various communication skills that must be considered here. But the question is why do we need people with effective communication skills? Well to begin the first communication skill a person in this business of chicken feed will need is Clarity and Concision. People need this skill because they should be able to say what they want clearly and directly whether face to face; email or on the phone. What this means is that with the right communication skills one is able to create or build an effective team, a team where they have a strong bond and connection making the work life simpler and worth it. With employees who have a positive mind set it benefits when it comes to making the product and again they give it all they have. Positive reinforcements as well aid in making the employees comfortable in their work environment. Having effective communication skills will enable for one to manage the employees. This means that if one doesn’t have a strong way of communicating with the employees then the business will not reach far, hence one main reason for us to have effective communication skills is so that we can manage our employees and make sure that they are on the same page and direction as us. Strengths: Sympathetic: the production manager must be able to understand people because different people have different conditions and different working levels. Workmen who are facing any problem (physically sick) must be treated with sympathy (singh, 2010) Punctual: as a production manager, she must set a good example to the workers in that when she is punctual the workmen will be able to meet their goals at the end of the day. Flexible: in an organization, situations keep on changing for time to time and rarely remain static (singh 2015) the production manager should be able to adjust to the different changes and make good use of anything that arises.
