Why Animal Testing Should Be Stopped Many companies out there test their products on animals without us even knowing. You would think your makeup brands and cleaning supplies are cruelty-free, but they are not! Here are a few makeup brands that I could find that are still testing on animals; Benefit, CoverGirl, Makeup forever, Dior, and Almay. Even your number one window cleaner, Windex is testing even their products on animals. Theclever.com says that Windex is tested "on the skin and eyes of the animals." They also say that Clorox wipes are feed to animals and they trickle the finished product on them. Many people don't understand how awful animal testing is because the companies don't tell us what exactly they do to the animals. Animal testing is extremely expensive for the government as well. What the government does not tell us is that scientist have come up with alternative ways besides testing on animals. So many people believe that animals are dumb and don't feel pain like humans do, but that's not true at all. Monkeys are said to be as smart as a toddler. In the neavs.org post says "Some alternatives to the use of animals in testing include Vitro (test tube) test methods and models based on human cell and tissue cultures, computerized patient- drug databases and virtual drug trials, computer models, and simulations." Those are just a few they had listed if they have that many options and MORE why can they not use them instead. Some of the benefits they have listed are "Alternative scientific tests are often more reliable than animal tests." "The use of human tissue in toxicity testing is more accurate than the animal models." "Cruelty-free products are more environmentally friendly." Scientist have come up with many options besides animal testing as you can see
