Agronomy Demographics and Outlook In 2014, the percentage of people who were hired with the status of full time were 88.5% and part time were 11.5% (Service Canada, 2014). According to Service Canada, employment was greatest when the highest level of education was a bachelor's degree and the ages that were mostly hired were between 24 and 45 (2014). Several factors affect the employment outlook such as time of year, location, occupational growth and employment turnover, meaning positions are available as people leave their jobs (ALIS, 2013). The average predicted employment forecast till 2017 is 2.4% (ALIS, 2013). Employment turnover for Agronomists is likely to increase because of the baby boomers who are about to retire (ALIS, 2013).
