Immigration. I was born in Mexico 1998 and immigrated to the United States a month later. My dad being a US citizen fixed my sisters and my papers. I did not realize the importance of being a citizen until my first year of high school.Saturday mornings are meant to be slept in to relieve some stress from school. For me my Saturdays have always been busy since 6AM to 6PM. As I woke up striving not to be late I got a big smile on my face because I realized that, that early Saturday morning I would be able to do the thing I love the most. Since my freshman year I started volunteering with an organization that helped residents get their citizenship for free. I have always felt inspired to help my community because we do not have that many resources
