All businesses are developed with a goal, a vision, and a mission. Often times those goals and visions are put to the test by the developers, customers, and sometimes the employees. The main goal and mission of most businesses is to gain and maintain the loyalty of their customers, however, customers expect the same in return from businesses. Honesty is extremely important. To start, business developers have to be realistic and honest with themselves about the type of business they want to represent. Proverbs 14:2 New Living Translation (NLT) reads, “Those who follow the right path fear the LORD; those who take the wrong path despise him.” As business developers and owners discover the purpose of their business, the vision and mission statements are created. For starters, honest business leaders will lead by example and do what is right at all times. With that being said, there are several scriptures and examples provided throughout the Bible to teach about the role of honesty. Luke 6:31 New Living Translation (NLT) states, “Do to others as you would like them to do to you.” Honesty within a business will set standards for the employees to follow.
