According to Buick, J. & Jevtic, 2. (n.d.), information is a data modified into a figure that is significant. Information Technology is the foundation of the internet. It means innovation, compilation, container, modifying, transmission, exhibit and use of information by people and things. The internet is a providential and timely fusion of technologies of information, storage and retrieval. The convergence of information with global communication technologies has produced a massive virtual world of literacy - an alternative universe of gained data, identification numbers, basis, methods and processes. This networked collection of data is available in theory by everyone. The propagation of research is originally one of the purposes of internet. It is also stated that not all of the information can be found on the internet and only a little percentage of what is published in journals and books can be found in search engines such as Google, Alta Vista, and Yahoo and it was reported that only 87% of known journals and other books can be found on the internet. Aside from the pros and cons of both sides, both information sources are available 24/7 and all of the information in the library is still accessible (n.d.). Desilver, D. stated that students today frequently get their source of information using Google which makes up to 94% and the Wikipedia with 75%. Due to an easy approach of the internet, the teachers observed that the students’ collected information is just a small percentage of the whole study. On a survey conducted by Pew Research Center in 2012, among 2,500 students, only 12% uses printed materials in a research assignment while 16% of them seek librarians
