By the time we reach high school some of us do not possess a vision as to what we want for our future, but as the four years went by, we never thought it would ever end and finally come to its conclusion. Hearing our name called out for the last time in the high school that shaped us into who we wanted to be. This is when we can finally say “ I know what I want to do, and I know what I want to be”. As a freshman I had no knowledge as to what the world had in store for me and not to mention no clue of what I wanted to major in college, but as time went on, my true aspiration was obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Caring for my siblings became a joy that nothing else can compare. It has engraved a purpose in my life, a purpose that will help me pursue my true aspiration for life, career wise. Therefore, after obtaining my degree I plan to enter the medical field pursuing a specialty in nursing as a Neonatal Nurse. Looking upon a child's face and seeing their bright and warm smile are the moments I live for. To me, being a nurse is far more than just a job or even a career. It’s an adventure, a continuous learning process that I will embark on bravely each day. It’s a journey that will bring happiness, satisfaction, and even excitement, not only to myself, but to those who trusted me with their care. I will venture into this journey in search of life changing events and miracles. Life has had its ups and downs, but because of this I have gained qualities that I know will help me prosper as a nurse.
