1. Will the cars be suitable for everyone to use? The truth is that it is unlikely. Has there ever been an invention that has taken off as soon as it was invented? When motorised vehicles first came into production the numbers of people who owned them were extremely minimal. The idea of motor cars was very odd back then. The first automobile was invented by Karl Benz in 1886. By the 1900’s cars were becoming a part of the wealthy lifestyle as they were largely the only ones to own and drive automobiles at the time. Nowadays these a car is owned by a far higher number of people throughout the world. It took years before the invention of the car was to become suitable to everyone in the life they live. While the car was still partially controlled by humans just to ensure the program is working correctly, it is extremely likely that google and other car companies will develop user friendly interfaces based on the owners requirements. So long as the law permits it, people that are blind, deaf or who possess other disabilities will be free to travel in cars thanks to driver specified interfaces, voice activated for the blind or touch screen/ keypads for the deaf. This is not taking into account the costs for the software to run the car. This is way too expensive for the 99% of the average users. There are companies looking for cheaper alternatives that involve using cheap videos cameras to detect the surroundings of the car instead of using radar and LIDAR but as of now it is not that accurate .So it is possible to get autonomous cars cheaper but the trade of for safety wouldn’t be worth it. 5. Are the cars going to be able to work globally or will they be restricted in certain areas in countries? It is going to take quite a while for autonomous cars to work globally as every street, every driveway, every pavement and every street needs to be mapped. This would require a considerable amount of time, the recent data to express how large of a operation this is, there are 4.24 [3]million kilometres in China
