At a Woodland Joint Unified School District (WJUSD) school site a law enforcement officer may access the campus to question and/or apprehend a student. Law enforcement officers have arrived at both elementary and secondary school sites to question and/or apprehend district students. WJUSD needs to have a board policy and administrative regulation to provide guidelines for district administrators to follow. The proposed Board Policy (BP) 5145.11 and the accompanying Administrative Regulation (AR) 5146.11 provide the guidelines and practices for district staff to follow when a law enforcement officer requests to speak to a student.
