The Pros And Cons Of NASA

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is a large organization, but it has excess money that can be given to other smaller research companies like NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). NOAA is head in the research of the ocean and atmosphere, and it can get results faster, is more likely to find helpful resources to the human race, and is safer than NASA, although NASA is more expensive than other research organizations. NOAA’s exploration team can’t go on as many explorations as they need to. “If you compare NASA's annual budget to explore the heavens, that one year budget would fund NOAA's budget to explore the oceans for 1,600 years,” As quoted by Robert Ballard. This is crazy amount of money even for NASA. NOAA has only explored around 5% of the ocean, while this can’t be overruled by space’s percentages, which can’t be confirmed yet, but scientists do know that the general information from space is more than the ocean’s. Scientists know about around two-thirds of the oceanic life forms; this means that if we don’t hurry entire species could be lost in time do , and with the species…show more content…
NOAA can get live video feed from the bottom of the ocean, while NASA’s can take years to even get to the planet, but that’s not the end. For people and objects that were brought back are checked for diseases that are foreign from this planet taking even more time. This helps with the fact planets are very large and take longer to search and that there is more of a chance for NOAA to find something important. Plus planets are very large and take longer to search and that there is more of a chance for NOAA to find a life form or something helpful/new to the human race, however NOAA does have it’s strengths against NASA but NASA has its
