The Mexican-American is best known by reason of the conflicts between Mexico and the Unites States, the issue was because of the independence of the Texas land. Texas territory was seen as the victory of a war that does not start yet. For the American culture, the Mexican-American war basically consist in the independence of Texas, whom later on become part of the American territory. In the other hand, for the Mexican culture, the Mexican-American War is best known as the US invasion, Mexicans seems this war a theft or strategy. There are some key events that were important in the development of the Mexican-American War. The first and most important event is, The Annexation of Texas, this was signed in December 29, 1845, and Texas become the 28 State of the United States signed by James K. Polk. Second, the actions carried by President Taylor and President Polk, with the proposition of buying more Mexican territory. Last, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, this document is a legal representative document that states the end of the war between these two countries. According to the Mexican history, for Mexico the best alternative was to accept the conditions of the agreement and signed the document were the Mexican government approved the sale of territories.
