We have finally made it! High school is over now, let that sink in. Many of us will never see each other again. If we do see each other, we will most likely walk awkwardly in our different directions hoping that we were not noticed by our old classmate. I think we can all agree that high school has been a stressful time. I’m shocked that I am even graduating today, there were so many times where giving up on school was a huge option for me. My goal was to pass high school with good grades and graduate. The first day of high school I began to consider dropping out. “Mom, please just let me drop out,” I pleaded with my mother. “I can’t let you do that, you know that.” “But I need to mom!” “And why is that?” “It’s too stressful, everything matters now,” I replied. “Who cares?” “I do, I’m going to fail.” “Does it matter, as long as you try, does it matter?”…show more content…
The thought of failure is so stress provoking, stress makes people want to quit. I am a quitter, I really am, everything makes me way too scared. I have always thought that anything I do will never be good enough, everyone is just better than me at everything. I look at other people and think, that person has it all together, they’re good at math, sports, and many people like them. Me, on the other hand, I am far from athletic, practically unlikeable, terrible at math, and my life is far from together.
