Health Information Technology is one of the most highly focused trends in all health care industries. After we had discussed and concluded the scope of this research from many sources on the internet, we found three interesting technologies that can solve the problems in hospital information systems in Thailand, which are DICOM, HL7 and Clinical Decision Systems. The first technological advancement that hospitals in Thailand should consider adopting is DICOM. According to the problem statement, poor information management can result health care services to be low in quality. One of the effective technologies we found during researching is DICOM. DICOM stands for Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine. It is a formatting tool that represents…show more content…
It is defined as is an application that analyzes data and a process for enhancing health care actions with patient information to delivery better clinical decisions. In Hospital Information Systems, there are tremendous needs in design and development, and CDS provides a variety of tools to enhance decision-making in the clinical workflow. CDS is highly recommended for improving hospital information systems and health care services for several reasons. To begin with, it can increase quality of care and enhance health outcomes. CDS can help supporting all decision making for clinicians and patients. It helps with making decisions on management, data collection, data analysis, and fixing complex of modeling under the same constraints and all information is accessed in one place. Secondly, it solves problems without any structure and under the control of the users, which means this system needs less manpower and less human interaction. This can be a good thing because the operational tasks that require manpower can be more focused on and can be managed better. With computers for finding the best solutions to treat health problems for patient, CDS improves patient information safety, quality of care, and efficiency in healthcare delivery by putting efficiency in patient throughput. . Finally, it can reduce the risk of medication errors and reduce misdiagnoses in hospital information systems. CDS is one of the alternative ways to make the most optimal solutions for patients. It helps making decisions on whether those patients should take medicines or inject chemical treatments. Significantly it reduces the chance of error and change into the better accuracy and higher efficiency in the systems. All in all, CDS is best when applied with medical knowledge to achieve superior performance. Hospitals should discuss on strategic discussions to ensure
