Reading Comprehension Research Paper “Reading Comprehension is the understanding and interpretation of what is read. To be able to accurately understand written material, children need to be able to (1) decode what they read; (2) make connections between what they read and what they already know; and (3) think deeply about what they have read” (WETA Public Broadcasting, 2018). Reading comprehension directly connects to an ability able to engage in and find purpose in reading. The more strategies available for the students to use when reading, the more opportunities they will have to comprehend what their reading. This practice would be the most effective for me and the students because I will be able to see the progress being made from the strategies they use and provide immediate feedback to improve their comprehension
