Lesson Title: Reading Comprehension

Summary: We will be reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and the students will be learning sequencing by finding the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
Classroom Scenario My class consists of 12 students; three of them have a disability. This is a class activity and we will work together and in small groups throughout the activity.
Students with Disabilities in the Classroom: There are two students with a learning disability in reading (reading at 1st grade level) and one with visual impairments and also reading at 1st grade level.

Opening/Activating Prior Knowledge: I will discuss with the class that we will be learning sequencing and the beginning, middle, and end of the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. To see what my students already know I will ask questions and discuss things like the school day, how caterpillars become butterflies, and what are the beginning, middle, and end of their day. This will help them understand sequence of events and finding the beginning, middle, and end of events, books, etc.
I DO: Teacher Input and Modeling: I will discuss with the class and write down my day on the white board. This will show them the beginning, middle and end of my day and sequencing the events in my day. I will also discuss different things that can be part of the different times of the
