I do not think that President Barack Obama has been a great president. He has not kept many of his promises that he had made when he ran for president back in 2009. He just did not do many things that he promised. Obama did good with his foreign affairs, but he should not have been so focused in foreign affairs to begin with. Obama was focused in small victories in the world, with the only big advantages he has done is killing Bin Laden and halving the number of nuclear launchers in the US and Russia. He realized that the world does not like huge changes unless you are very committed to the change and are willing to take risks. So instead he made the world at large only slightly better with such things as repealing the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy, allowing openly gay and bisexual people into the military. If I were to give it a grade I would give him a C+ with a 76%.…show more content…
He was trying too much and did not focus enough, and he did not learn enough from the past and others. He tried to make a national health care plan, like what Canada has, but he really messed up on that one and made a terrible plan instead. It is a bad plan because if he had not done it then people would not have had their work hours cut and would be able to get actual health insurance. He should not have made a plan at all and instead focus on the economy. The only things he has done to help the economy was what Bush had already set up before leaving office, TARP, which helped banks and saved the automobile industry, but beyond that he had done a very small amount of projects to jump start the economy. He stretched himself too thin, but at the same time not thin enough. If he focused on one thing or another it would have been fine, but he didn't and instead he is gong to leave the mess for the next president to clean up. I would have to give him a D- with a
