The murder of Martin Luther King jr. Martin Luther King jr. was a black man who was born 15th January 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia in USA. He died 4th April 1968 when he was only 39 years old. His heart was bad as a 60-year old heart, some think maybe it is because of all the stress and tension of the civil rights movement. His original name was Michael King, but his father said that the name was incorrectly recorded. His father named Martin Luther King St, but he was also called Michael first, instead of using Martin Luther. He had four children with his wife Coretta Scott King. It was Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott King, Yolanda King and Bernice King. He was a pastor and a civil rights activist. He is very famous for a speech he gave, cold "I have a dream". Unfortunately have not that dream come true yet. When he was just 35 years old, he received the Nobel peace prize, it was in 1964 and in Oslo. He got Nobel peace prize because of his efforts at combating ethnic inequality by nonviolence. He led the non-violent fight for the blacks equality in USA, in the 1950s and 1960s. It was in 1968 he was killed, that is what this text is going to be about.…show more content…
It has been found his fingerprint on the rifle that was used. The most likely reason why he was killed, was that the person who killed him was disagree with what he believed on, because he was a public figure, and not at least, he fought for the blacks rights. And likely because he was
