David Gets in Trouble by David Shannnon is one of my favorite picture books. I loved the color hues in the cartoon style illustrations, and the facial expressions on David are wonderfully exaggerated. The font looks like a child could have written it. Each illustration spans both pages. It is my favorite because it was my son’s favorite for a while when he was probably 4. I remember him laughing when I would pretend to make a mistake and say his name, Daniel, instead of David. One of David’s many misfortunes includes breaking the window of a neighbor with a baseball, just like Daniel.
