Ranging as far back to the 1800s and from the very own native tongues of tribes from the sacred nation of the United States; the incredibly large cryptic-simian creature Bigfoot, has the privilege of possessing notoriousness in the United States. Also known as Sasquatch, the primitive creature has a physical description of astoundingly being at least eight feet tall, covered utterly in fur, and equipped with extended limbs. However, with such vividly descriptive information and the influential power that Bigfoot possesses, it appears the only notion that prevents the mythological species from being indubitable is the lack of concrete evidence. The nonhuman footprints, which some persevered as plaster casts, comes from locations specifically from the forests of the western United States and Canada, each of them displaying similarity of measurements. Meldrum uncovers each diminutively anatomical aspect of each footprint by his methods of determining the distinctive midtarsal joints, the transverse tarsal joints, the elongated heels, and several other joints and muscles of the foot. He undoubtedly concludes that the footprints are none like any other animal or human. Throughout Meldrum’s article, he employs on his exceptional skill of morphology in order to distribute a blow in the battle of the Bigfoot’s existence by his usage of motion less imagery and detailed drawings, asserting his educated and omniscient style of speech, and explaining the odd structures of the alleged Bigfoot footprints. The morphological terms that Meldrum present throughout his article proves how well of an expert he is in morphology, easily allowing him to distinguish between an animal or human footprint to Bigfoot’s, benefiting his overall persuasiveness. However, most terms said by Meldrum are difficult to interpret, especially those that classifies the anatomy of the foot, such as the calcaneocuboid and cubiodeometatarsal joints.
