This paper sets out to describe and outline the links between the educational system and the generation of income inequality in developing countries. The educational system has been criticised as one of the major institutions by which inequality has been perpetuated, especially in less developed countries. This paper would like to explore the relationship between school quality, namely at primary education and secondary education, and economic growth. Educational inequality at primary and secondary education would be measured with using the concept of educational Gini index to measure inequality in educational attainment.
