exhibition of 2015. Fact-Checking depicts a young man and an older gentlemen starting at a laptop in their living room. The title suggests that the men are surfing the internet to check facts or validate information. Artists make art for countless reasons. They make art to express their emotions, capture the beauty of their environment, as well as to document historical aspects of the era in which they live. Udell introduced the Greek art at that day. Four galleries in the MET are special for ancient Greek Terracotta Vases made from 850BCE to 550BCE. Many of them don’t have labels show the artist’s name. They have attributed artists, which means that art historians today can’t figure out their creator’s name and life according to historical documents but can discover that a branch of anonymous art works have similar artistic features such as style, subject, and age. Art historians thus named the artist
The Film Vertig¬o and Mulholland Drive are very interesting films. Both of these films have expression of surrealism. Mulholland Drive is a very complex film. What I really found interesting is that these two films are that there are some similarities in many ways. Both directors’ combines reality and illusion together in their works. Emotion takes over from the viewer’s mind and gives us what we need to survive tragedy. Both film end in a tragic way. This leads the audience into the mystery and
Music is one of the most expressive forms of art and can tell of a story, of an experience, a place, or any number of ideas. The Afro-American Symphony by William Grant Still demonstrates the opposition of sorrow and enjoyment in the lives of African Americans through the contrasting themes of the movements in the symphony, which encompasses a range of the African American experience. The slow paced second movement of the symphony, with its minor tendencies and wailing qualities of the oboe solos
Throughout history movies have been created in order to entertain audiences; humans were tired of only hearing about crazy stories of action, romance, and horror. They wanted to see them travel across their pupils all across the screen into making these fantasies a reality, and every now and then there is a movie that comes along that raises questions that societies take into their own lives. These films make people question themselves; not in any negative way but more in a sense of morality, wondering

This visual essay is effective because it appeals to the readers emotions as well as inform them. The color scheme works for these images because they complement each other. There are a lot of cool colors to match with the warms, which
It is in human nature to categorize; from food, race, and political views to musical style. Specifically, when it comes to musical style, we tend to place artists into what we call genres. Genres are categories based on musical style; genres range from Rock and Roll to Hip-Hop to Jazz. While categorizing artists tend to facilitate conditions for music listeners when searching for music, classifying artists occasionally restricts their innate ability to branch and develop their own musical style
The artist who made this pot was clearly trying to do more than just make a beautiful piece of artwork. The people, their body language, and even the way in which he created the pot all have a deep meaning. For example, not only do each of the sides of the pot have a distinct message, but the fact that the artist chose to portray two different viewpoints on the two opposite sides says a lot. It is interesting because the people in each of the two scenes do not know the full story of what is happening
