Marriage has been an important part of h¬uman society. Man cannot survive in isolation without a partner. We can explain marriage as a social contract between man and women. In Islam, the marriage of a man and a woman is not just a financial and physical arrangement of living together but a sacred contract, a gift of Allah, to lead a happy, enjoyable life and continuance of posterity. By adding responsibilities upon the individual, marriage increases his status in society and gives him\her an opportunity in bearing the hardships of life. Living with a person, who have different inclinations and background, train one in accommodating oneself to new experiences; each one helps the other in the exercise of the virtues of patience and forbearance.…show more content…
Communication is the important factor in successful marriage. Without communication it is difficult to survive in a relationship, sometimes it may turn into divorce. According to Idowu and Esere (2007), more than half of the failed relationships are due to the fact that there was a severe lack of communication between couples. In order to have a long and lasting relationship with someone, one must have excellent communication skills. If government and service providers pay attention to the aspects of a marriage than it may stay for long time period and they also find out that what creates a happy and lasting marriage and then to teach couples to build happy and successful marriages, which is the objective of this research. Having babies may be important, but raising babies within an environment of happy and successful marriages will ensure that our next generation will grow up to be positive and psychologically healthy people who will contribute to the society’s overall well-being.
