Social media and suicide have an important relationship. In this generation, most teenagers have cellular devices some abuse their privileges. Teenagers are so accustomed to social media that they ignore the most important things in life. You can ask any teenager between the ages of 13-18 what they do when they first wake up 75% of them will respond "to check my phone of course". Most bullying is done on social media "cyber-bully" such as Facebook, twitter, Myspace, and Instagram. Nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online. 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once. Many will agree that social media is taking over teenagers’ lives. Cyberbully are the cause of most teenage suicides in America, and no one is hardly prosecuted by their wrongdoing. The common reason for most teenage suicides is being bullied by one of their schoolmates. They're either getting bullied in school, on the bus and on social media of course. Some of the teenagers have a friend that knows what was going on but never said anything only because he or she said not to. Those friends are called "Bystanders", a person who is present at an event or incident but does not take part. Bystanders feel that as long as they know and talk to he or she about it nothing will happen.…show more content…
Most of the time the bully doesn't even know who their bullying. Bullies like to talk about others because they have their own personal insecurities. They’re most likely going through the same thing they are putting another teenager through. Instead of informing an adult, he or she puts it in their own hands and bullies someone else. Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. Teenagers don’t discuss these things to their parents like they should. Except telling their parents, they keep to themselves and “deal with it”. Sadly to say, some teenagers that are getting bullied thinks there’s no other way to end
