The stages of the Hero’s Journey consists of twelve stages composing the Hero’s Journey. The stages illustrate basic characteristics and functions that provide a flexible and adaptable mode to progress in each stage. The first stage the Hero goes through is the Ordinary World where the hero is uneasy and a problem occurs that disrupts the Ordinary World; the audience is able to identify the situation. In fact, Beowulf even sparked the creation of “The Hero’s Journey”, or the classic pattern followed by a hero in a work of literature. Therefore, one could assume that Beowulf is relevant
