Detailed Industry Overview Less than a decade ago, mobile phones were considered under the category of luxury goods in India but today, mobile phones are being adopted at an exceptionally rapid rate and especially in urban area where it is as common as wrist watches nowadays. Even in rural areas, purchase of mobile phones is growing at a decent rate thus making the underclass as connected as the rich.
