The mention of Ford Mustang always tends to lighten the faces of all the Americans. This is because of the special attachment Americans have to this specific type of car. Personally, I have had a first-hand experience with a Mustang and I can clearly say that it is an awesome experience. My Mustang is the Mustang cobra that my grandmother gave to me as a birthday gift in 2004 and until now it has served me in the most effective and efficient way not to mention the comfort I have derived from the car. Mustang is an American car and a product of the Ford Motor Company that was introduced into the market in April, 1964. Ford Company is the second largest automaker in the United States and is one of the first automotive companies in U.S. Its mission statement is seen to be anchored on three main elements: One team, One goal and One plan. “One Team: People working together as a lean, global enterprise for automotive leadership, as measured by: Customer, Employee, Dealer, Investor, Supplier, Union/Council, and Community Satisfaction; One Plan: Aggressively restructure to operate profitably at the current demand and changing model mix; Accelerate development of new products our customers want and value; Finance our plan and improve our balance sheet; Work together effectively as one team. One Goal: An exciting viable Ford delivering profitable growth for all.” This mission together with the leadership of the all the CEOs with the current one being Mark Fields who recently replaced lan Mulally as Ford Motor Co. CEO and president has seen the company rise higher levels of efficiency. Mark was the chief operating officer in the company and hence has vast experience in the company. The CEO has an important role in overseeing the overall duties of all the employees in the company. At the same time, the executive chairman ensures that strategic measures are in place to ensure that the company’s short and long term goals are met.
