In the work by Johnson et al. (2013) the authors initiated a project which involved interviewing early career teachers (n=60) in regards to their personal stories and experiences of resilience. Of this project, the research team identified very crucial themes. The early career teachers in this study described varied experiences of school culture. Some of the teachers were carefully and deliberately inducted into school cultures with shared visions of learning for both staff and students. At these schools, supports were put in place to help all teachers achieve the best they could with their students.
