As we get older, one of the most important things that we can try to maintain is our mental health. Once you reach the age of 50 you should start to think about how your mental state is and what it could be like in the next 20 years. The average lifespan of a man or woman is between 70 and 80 years of age, so that is a lot of time for your brain to be making thousands of connections per day. As a 50+ year old, the threat of dementia and other brain related disorders get much higher and that is why it is important to make changes as early as possible. You might be asking whether there is actually a way to improve your memory and the short answer would be “yes”. The long answer is what we will cover below. Believe it or not, your brain can benefit from memory exercises. If you find yourself forgetting things a little more often than you did in the past, try doing these few small things in order to help improve your memory.
