During a meeting of the debate club, Rick Perry, Texas Governor, believes for a number of reasons that Americans will welcome and be open to a flat rate policy. Tax cuts would be available to all income groups. The plan would offer an “increase in the standard deduction to $12,500, retained deductions for mortgage interest, charitable donations, and state and local taxes”.
