One of the worst experiences I’ve had with food is, not being able to taste it. I didn’t realize how much I was taking my taste buds for granted, until tasting food became a struggle. There were times when I had a hard time tasting foods that I used to like well enough, to go back for seconds. I hated that couldn’t enjoy food the way that I wanted to. My taste buds were so off, that it caused me to over season my food. I didn’t even know that I was doing it until, I started hearing complaints about the food being over seasoned. At first, I got a little offended, and would make comments. I talked about how people are so used to eating nasty food until, they don’t know what good food is taste like. I caused to try some of the recommendations that I’d read, for resetting taste buds. I kept trying them, until I found the remedies that would work for me. I was able to reset my taste buds by rubbing a lemon wedge on my tongue and on the roof of my mouth. Another way I’d reset my taste buds is by eating bitter foods. I’ve also discovered that my taste buds automatically reset, when I completely stopped eating fried fatty foods, salt and sugar. After my taste buds were reset, I was able enjoy the experience of the natural taste of food. Since I noticed a big difference in the way things tasted, I started sampling different foods to experience their natural flavors. I could taste the earthly flavor that vegetables have. I was amazed at how sweet fruits naturally are. One day, I ate an apple and I couldn’t finish it, because I felt a stomach ache coming on, because the apple tasted so sweet. Since that time, I’ve been able to create tasty meals and desserts. I knew that I’d nailed it, once I started getting the compliments and the request to make certain dishes
