1.What is stress Stress can be divided into two types which are eustress and distress. Eustress means stress that is formed healthy or giving one the feeling of fulfillment which was first introduced by Hans Selye MD, an endocrinologist. Furthermore, eustress is not simply a various type of stressor, but also is that positive reaction to stress that generates within us a desire to achieve and overcome a challenge. Eustress is a good stress. Stress is simply an external stimulus, eustress is the feeling you get when overcome with the excitement and anticipation of a desired outcome. Next, psychological distress is a general term used to describe unpleasant feelings or emotions that impact your level of functioning. Not only that, distress is a feeling that you have when you are very unhappy, worried, or upset and an unpleasant and difficult situation caused by a lack of money, food, or other basic things. There are some differences between eustress and distress. Eustress is perceived as within our coping abilities while distress is perceived as outside our coping abilities. Furthermore, eustress can motivates and focuses energy but distress demotivates and drains our energy. Next, eustress makes you feel exciting but on the other hand distress can make you feel very unpleasant and it decreases your performance but eustress improves performance. 2.Symptoms of stressStress can affect all aspects of your life, including your emotions, behaviour, thinking ability and physical health. No part of the body is immune, but, because people handle stress differently, symptoms of stress can vary. Symptoms can be vague and may be the same as those caused by medical conditions.
