1. Early Head Start Teacher 2. The qualifications for the position Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or equivalent is required, 1-3 years experience in a Head Start/Early Head Start, and experience with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment tool. 3. Assist co-teacher to plan and conduct age-appropriate activities, provide input to periodic developmental assessments for children, assist with parent conferences, prepare supplies and environment for activities, attend home visits, document the days of each child, help to manage the classroom, and provide primary care-giving for children. 4. The certain skills someone needs to work in this particular setting would be a need to multitask, flexibility, communication skills, interpersonal skills, motivation, education, and being a team player. 6. The challenges of working with the population served by the agency are that a lot of the parents are under educated. Another issue is that many of the parents are unable to speak English and it makes it difficult to communicate with the parents. With having a lower income, the parents were not as privileged in continuing or even having an education when growing up. Another major issue is that a lot of the parents are younger than I am and are unable to support their families. 7. The rewards are of working in this population is that I am able to help multiple families out each day. The children are able to have us teachers, as a support system in their life. We not only take care of them, we are able to teach them things that they would not be able to learn at home. By giving them love, attention, and discipline; I am able to make the children feel comfortable and help them not have to worry about all the struggles they are experiencing at
