Starting college, I have set up many goals for myself. All of my goals are to help me stay focus and motivated during my four years here at Shorter University. Three goals I have set for myself are to stay healthy, which means running three times a week, to step out of my comfort zone, and to grow closer with God. These goals help me see the big picture and where I will be my senior year. One main goal I have set for myself is to run two to three time a week. I have found this passion for running about three years ago and it has become a stress reliever for me. I have completed about three 5k’s, but I want to accomplish so much more. I thought about working towards running a half marathon in November, but transitioning into college made that impossible. I continued to go over to Berry College to run, but I was so unmotivated because I wasn’t running towards anything. Then two weeks ago, an opportunity came up where I will be doing an 8k on Thanksgiving morning. Running two to three times a week has becomes so much easier because I am running toward a goal.…show more content…
First, I am going to start running three miles three times a week for two weeks. Once these three miles are completed in roughly thirty-three minutes, I am going to add on the fourth mile. At first, running the four miles will be hard, but I will accomplish it by determination. Then once I feel strong doing four miles, I will start focusing on my time. I strongly believe I will be ready for this 8k because I am always thinking to myself, “What do I want to accomplish and why am I running?”. And the answer is to run an 8k with all the strength the Lord has blessed
