CIDB is a statutory body under the Ministry of Works, Malaysia. Normally, CIDB is used to provide and control certification of construction materials and items to guarantee quality consistence in construction industry. Other than that, the responsibilities of CIDB is processing the application for verification of products from importers or their authorised agents according to the stipulated procedure. CIDB can also act as an issuance of approbation in the form of e-Permit or Certification of Approval. It also can be used for the collection of product samples for testing. Apart from that, CIDB helps to advice and make suggestion to the Government. CIDB would give, promote, survey and organize training program for skilled workers and site supervisors, and also provide consultancy and advisory services to employees. In addition, it is a rely and matters relating registration of contractors, in construction industry. DOSH DOSH can be used to review the policies and legislations of occupational safety and health. Apart from that, it acts as main administrator to emphasis the following legislations which is Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its regulations, Factories and Machinery Act 1967 and its regulations, and Part of Petroleum Act 1984 (Safety Measures) and its regulations. DOSH carry out promotional and some population programs to employers, employees so that can help to increase the awareness of occupational safety and health.
