U.S. Marines There are thousands if not millions of jobs in the world as of today. I have choose to go to the marines over any other job in the world because I have grown up in a family that has a past experience in the marines. My pap was a tunnel rat in Vietnam, a tunnel rat is the guy who goes down in the Vietnamese tunnels and clears them out. My uncle was also in the marines, so now it is time for me to be looking for a job and I have choose the U.S Marine Corps. What are the marines? The Marine Corps is one of the most elite fighting forces in the world. The Marines are a part of the Department of the Navy and operate in close with U.S. Naval forces at sea. The Marine Corps mission is more unique among the services. Marines serve on U.S. Navy ships, protect naval bases, guard U.S. embassies even in other countries, and provide the ready and quick strike force to protect U.S. interests anywhere in the world. The marines are first to fight because of their culture and the training it takes to be a marine. There are no easy ways into the marines because of the readiness to take a step in the snap of fingers and go to war defending our country. So…show more content…
I am going to the marines as infantry which means I will need 12 weeks of infantry school they have each week categorized so you have an idea of what you will be doing week 1 is just beginning the transformation, week 2 is starting a routine and discipline, week 3 is finding the warrior within, week 4 is facing opponents for the first time, and week 5 is learning marine corps martial arts. That should kind of give you an idea of what it takes in infantry school to become a marine. I mean u can gradually tell it starts becoming harder and harder. There is no college degree needed to be in the marines, but you are required to have a high school diploma so take school seriously and graduate don’t screw
