Batman and Superman are the two most popular and recognizable superheroes in the world. They are both characters in the DC Comics’ lineup. Batman and Superman each have their own unique set of abilities to fight crime, and they use the guise of an alter ego to conceal their identities. They come from different backgrounds and take vastly dissimilar approaches to policing up the cities in which they have sworn to protect, but do share one common goal: Justice! Batman’s real name is Bruce Wayne. He was a trust fund baby who inherited his parents’ wealth after they were murdered right in front of him as a child. He has no special powers or superhuman strength, but relies only on his intelligence and superior hand-to-hand combat experience to fight against the evil that plagues the streets of Gotham. Batman is fueled by revenge; he is on a warpath to get retaliation on all criminals. Superman was born Kal-El on the alien planet Krypton. He arrived on Earth as an infant, via a space capsule, shortly before his home planet was destroyed. He was found by a local family and given the name Clark Kent. Unlike Batman, who is driven by rage and revenge, Superman’s will comes from a love of the human race and a strong sense of responsibility to protect the people. When he’s not saving the world as Superman; Clark Kent works as a news reporter for the Daily Planet. He is often portrayed a shy and clumsy nerd who is also socially awkward.
