Hormone therapy is used to ensure quality of life in many people. Hormone therapy is a medical treatment where hormones are added or blocked from acting in a person’s body. Although there is some opposition involving the use of hormone therapy, such as slowing the aging process and changing physical characteristics, it has had a hugely positive impact in its use for medical treatment. Hormone therapy is extremely beneficial in its use to fight chronic illness. Hormone therapy is used to treat type I diabetes through insulin injections. People with type I diabetes have trouble producing enough insulin to break down glucose, so they need daily doses of insulin to survive. Hormone therapy is also used to aid in the treatment of breast cancer.
