Sun Zi does not believe in fighting fair. He feels deception is at the very heart of war. Unless you are kept informed of the enemy's condition, and ready to strike at the right moment, a war may drag on for years. The only way to get this information is to employ spies, and it is impossible to obtain trustworthy spies unless they are properly paid for their services. All it means is making sure your informations are accurate and your enemy’s are not. All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable. When using our forces, we must appear inactive. When we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away. When far away, we must make him believe we are near. Therefore increasing sales. Children push to get a new toy in a Happy Meal and play on the playground provided at many establishments which drive profits. According to the Utilitarian theory, McDonald's is acting ethical because it has and will continue to create maximum profit.
