George Washington once said, “ There is nothing so likely to produce peace as to be well prepared to meet an enemy”. This quote basically states that the best way to defeat an enemy, and get peace is to come to the battlefield with on top defense. Defense was key to how America emerged victorious in numerous wars. The U.S Military has advanced weaponry, and warfare skills in order to secure the safeguard of their country. Many people though America was done for when in war with japan, but they were wrong! Stated by Robert McNamara from Brown University, “By 1944, despite growing death tolls, the United States was working hard to dismantle Japan's island empire in the Pacific. After capturing the islands of Guam, Saipan, and Tinian, the United States built bases for long-range bombers….” This quote shows the way America stepped their game up by realizing there has to be mental thinking in order to be victorious. The U.S used a strategy of which they captured their islands one by one, and building more bases. The U.S has held on to their ways of plans and tactics, which made them a smart thinking, and powerful country. America’s weapons has a big impact on their defense.. America is well known for its aircraft, and even deadlier weapons. Without those weapons like nuclear weapons, and hydrogen bombs america would be missing a key part in a revolution.
