Stick Figures and Living Skeletons As teenagers going through the most important stage of life, puberty. Women are taught to love themselves for who they are and to be content with what they were blessed with. In reality, women have to understand that they do not look like the girls featured on magazine covers, runways, and on billboard ads. But why should they settle for less when they can achieve the perfect look? The flawless models get to live a thrilling and interesting life of having to constantly weigh themselves. What full grown adult, being a size zero or even smaller want to gain weight? Weighing themselves every five minutes ensures that no pounds were gained because that would be tragic if a pound was gained. But there is a great reason to why they are eager to deteriorate their body. Nobody wants to ruin what they have been working on for so long. They are willing to starve themselves to fit into clothing that barely fits the average women and they usually have to face an overabundance of eating disorders. We all want to suffer from anorexia and bulimia. Who does not want to become a stick figure. It is every woman's dream come true. Although the average healthy woman is usually a size fourteen, a triple zero is much more attainable and attractive. Why have a woman love and accept her body for what it is when instead she can stand and look at herself in a mirror and point out all the details that society does not find acceptable? Teaching little girls that weight will define them and who they will become is way more important than loving themselves for who they are. Why teach young girls that values, integrity, and intelligence are essential when something as ludicrous as what society expects women to be is much more
