In the play “Romeo and Juliet” Romeo and Juliet teach the audience a number of life lessons. Shakespeare shows in the play a number of life lessons that can be effective in everyday life. In the play they teach the audience several life lessons. These include: think before you act, love isn't a good reason to kill yourself and don't make rash decisions. Whereas lesson in plays cannot change your life, they teach many life lessons. In the play “Romeo and Juliet” shows us why thinking before you act is a good idea, in the play there are many examples of this. First, when romeo wanted to kill him self when he was banished from Verona. The first rash descion in Romeo and Juliet is when, Romeo and Juliet decide to get married. They barley even know each other, and yet they're ready to get married right away. In the play Romeo says “Foreswear it sight, for I ne’er saw true beauty till this night.” (1.5.59-60) he is saying that she is the prettiest girl ever even though they have never spoke. The second rash decision is when Juliets Father (Capulet) bans Juliet from seeing Romeo because he is a Montague, and he isn't the person that he wants her to marry, he wants her to marry Paris. Capulet says to Juliet “To go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church, Or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither.” (3.5.146-157). In that line he is saying that if she doesn't marry Paris, he will drag her to the Church to do it, forcing her to marry him. Lastly, is when Gregory and Sampson come to the quick decision that Abram and the Servingman are humiliating them, so they automatically got to fighting. When they should've just left it, instead they caused a fight that didn't need to be caused.
