Practice Analysis This practice analysis will explore and focus and reflect on social work interventions and strategies with one of my family’s that I significant role within the Think Family, Family support team. The practice analysis will also demonstrate my reflection on my Practice skills, knowledge, feelings and key applications and models to promote best social work practice. Also I will focus on the impact I had on the situation as a student social worker. The next section will describe how I worked with issues of values and how I applied principles of social justice within the family needs. Then I will evidence of how I understood and applied theories, methods and the legislative requirements that underpinned social work practice. This type of difficulty and uncertainty around reflection is common in placement settings and when starting a new role (Knott and Spafford, 2010) The background of the family and my involvement will now be discussed. April is 41 years old and suffers from mental health issues and her partner Mark is 28 suffers from mental health issues, ADHD, Tourette’s, epilepsy and seizures. April has 4 children, two from her pervious relationship and two from Mark. The oldest sideling a girl Hope has left home, the oldest boy Sam aged 15, Alice aged 8, Ben aged 4 live at home. The youngest child Ben suffers from a serve attachment anxiety and behaviour issues. April has been suffering from mental health issues for over 19 years and previously tried to commit suicide , April has a key worker from the mental team a community psychiatric nurse (CPN) who visits her at home once a week to support with mental health problems. April partner Mark has complex health issues, he has be suffering from mental health issues for over 10 years due to childhood complexities and was diagnosed with ADHD and epilepsy around the same time.
