Esther and Daniel are two Old Testament characters who had a lot faith. Esther was a young Jewish women who Xerxes chose to be his wife. Mordecai, Esther’s Uncle/Cousin informed her of an evil plot that Haman, one of Xerxes right hand men, had conspired against the Jews to wipe them out. He instructed her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people. Thirty days had passed since she was last called to go before the king. Thing was, any anyone who approached the king in the inner court without being summoned got put to death unless the king extends the gold scepter to them and spares their lives. Long story short, she tells Mordecai “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my…show more content… During his time, King Nebuchadnezzar ruled over Judah. During his second year in reign, Nebuchadnezzar started having dreams. He gathered all of his magicians, enchanters, sorcerers and astrologers to tell him what he had dreamed. He told them “If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces and your houses turned into piles of rubble. But if you tell me the dream and explain it, you will receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor. So tell me the dream and interpret it for me” (Daniel 2:5-6). This made Nebuchadnezzar so angry and furious that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon (Daniel 2:12) because none of them could help. However, Daniel, an Israelite brought into the king’s service, could interpret dreams. The cool thing about Daniel was he went before the king with confidence even though the king that had put a death sentence above not only his head, but overall the wise men of the kingdom. His life would have ended if he messed up the interpretation, but he knew that God had his back and he had trust and faith in his creator just like Esther
