Culture. One word. One definition. Infinite ways to be expressed. In my society and background, culture influences everyday life, but cultural heritage and cultural identity aren’t always the same. My cultural identity has shaped me, who I am, how I act, and my everyday lifestyle. My views and opinions don’t match to what my family agrees with. To me, I see my cultural identity made up of my beliefs/religion, origin, and my own consciousness. As a child, I never got those bedtime stories of pretty princesses being rescued by the most handsome prince in all the land.
